NOC Tools Specialist Job in San Jose, Ca 95131, California Us
This candidate will be responsible for the development and ongoing support of systems that monitor and report the health of the PayPal Infrastructure and applications. This candidate must have demonstrated the successful hands-on implementation of various tools in a large scale, real-time web environment.
The candidate should be self-motivated, production sensitive, and technically talented to support PayPal 24x7 production environment. In this role, the candidate will provide monitoring and support for our internet site on UNIX and Windows based systems.
As part of a 24x7 team supporting always available systems, regularly work a 12 hour shift schedule (possibly including weekends and holidays)
- Experience as a developer, and integrator of monitoring solutions across heterogeneous distributed environments.
- Participation in the development and periodic upgrades to various enterprise tools
- Ongoing corrective and preventative maintenance to improve reliability and availability
- Preparation of proposals, reports, architectures, designs, specifications, and operational documentation.
- Translating business processes and its requirements into a business solutions
- Producing requirements, design, testing and implementation deliverables
- Modeling the business process, reconciling the process and data models
The candidate must have proficiency in Java and/or C/C++, python, Perl, ...
Knowledge modern open source software solutions.
This is a night shift role and will include a 15% differential. The hours are 8 p.m. - 8 a.m. - Weds, Thurs Fri and every other Tues
