Non Executive Director recruitment

We are currently acting on behalf of a dynamic and ambitious joint venture within the Natural Resources sector. They are currently building a business that aims to be a global market leader in their specialist field. In today's climate there is a genuine need for ongoing risk assessment and this business needs to bring in several industry experts to build a dynamic and consultative safety net.

The role is tasked to contribute to the development, execution and monitoring of strategic plans and objectives, monitoring the performance of senior management in meeting agreed goals and targets, including the delivery of services, improvements and financial performance. In addition you will ensure that financial controls and systems of risk management are robust, and that the Board is kept fully informed through timely and relevant information. You will ensure effective Corporate Governance of the organisation by serving on relevant sub committee(s), in particular Audit Committee and/or Remuneration Committee and where necessary, take part in the appointment of key senior staff.

You must have experience at board level of a substantial business or organisation, preferably within the Natural Resources sector. You should display proven strategic leadership ability as an Ex CEO / Chair or non-executive, and demonstrate that you can work harmoniously in partnership with a Chief Executive. To do this convincingly, you will have a substantial track record and high level of general management ability required to run a large successful multi-division, Pan Asian operation. In addition, you should have ambassadorial qualities, coupled with the tact and diplomacy to build relationships with a wide range of influential stakeholders.
