Markets and International Banking (MIB) is the investment banking arm of the Group, offering a broad range of services enabling major corporations and institutions to achieve their global financing, transaction services and risk management objectives. MIB meets clients needs by bringing together capabilities including debt capital markets, international transaction services, FX and rates, as well as providing balance sheet advisory and structuring. The businesses supported by Non Linear Trading Business Unit Control (NLT BUC) are responsible for the risk management of all non-linear risks within the bank (i.e. risk arising from option products). In addition to a market leading interest rate volatility trading group, we distribute many of our exotic or complex derivatives through our sales and solutions teams or by packaging derivatives into funded instruments such as structured notes. To generate revenues the groups rely heavily on closely integrated support functions across finance, operations, risk and technology.
As a Non Linear Trading Product Controller - Markets Business Unit Control, you'll be part of a dynamic team of technical Exotics Controllers, reporting to the Rates Options and Exotics (ROE) BUC Manager. You'll have an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, looking after one of the City’s top Global Exotic Rates Derivative businesses, with real ownership and exposure to responsibility and management of relationships with key stakeholders including Trading, Global Pricing Unit, Market Risk, Middle Office and Quant Technology teams.
To be successful as a Non Linear Trading Product Controller - Markets Business Unit Control, you'll have a professional accountancy qualification and a high degree of understanding, relating to current and future UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practise (GAAP) and International Accounting Standards (IAS). You'll also have experience of working in a product control function at an investment bank. Additionally, experience in derivative product control is a must, and specific experience in Rates Options would be a distinct advantage.
