Non-Profit Controller Assistant Controller
International Non-Profit with $100m annual operating budget is looking for 1 Controller (replacement) and 1 Assistant Controller (newly created role) to assist CFO. The following description encompasses both levels of responsibility.
Ideal Candidates:
· Senior Managers and Managers from Non-Profit Audit groups within Big 4, Regional, and local Public Accounting firms
Ideal Qualifications:
· CPA required for Controllers/ strongly preferred for Assistant Controllers
· Blackbaud / Financial Edge experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
· Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting package, including departmental financial statements and supporting documentation from Department Heads, for CFO and Board of Directors.
· Oversee preparation of monthly account analysis including reconciliation of all bank accounts including inter-fund balances
· Prepare monthly recurring and miscellaneous cash journal entries in Blackbaud/ Financial Edge
· Take charge of Investments and Cash Management
· Oversee Payroll Manager and ensure the proper reconciliation of Payroll Account and the preparation of payroll distribution worksheet.
· Prepare annual budget by working with the CFO, COO and Organization’s staff to maximize efficiencies.
· Assist with the presentation of the annual budget to the
Finance Committee
· Oversee the entry and detailed reporting of all incoming donations
· Oversee processing of accounts payables to insure that payments
are processed properly including: account coding, required approvals,
and supporting documentation
· Review W-2 reports generated by ADP for all employees.
· Prepare 1099 R - Pension Distribution and Annuity Payments
· Administer Health Insurance and Pension Programs
· Prepare financial schedules and detailed account analysis as required
for annual audit by assembling supporting documentation for auditors
· During audit, communicate with CFO, Treasurer and COO
progress of review and any issues that need to be addressed
· Prepare response to management letter
