SPS Technologies is a division of PCC and is an industry leader in the manufacture of high strength fasteners and precision components for commercial and military aircraft and jet engines. SPS has an opening for a Nondestructive Test Technician at its Jenkintown, Pennsylvania facility. This is a first shift position Friday to Sunday and offers a quarterly bonus. Required Skills
Successful candidates should have an NDT Level I or higher certification in either Magnaflux or FPI. A candidate should have experience with and the ability to perform various types of magnetic particle, liquid penetrate, ultrasonic, eddy current and acid etch non-destructive tests on a wide variety of materials and products. Individuals with experience working with the following equipment are preferred: magnetic energizer, demagnetizer, ultrasonic tester, eddy current, black light, microscope, trasnducers, and boroscope. Candidate should be capable of setting up, calibrating, and operating all types of non-destructive testing equipment. Experience with visually inspecting for discontinuities and evaluate in accordance with applicable acceptance standards and maintain accurate records of test results. The position requires working from detailed method sheets, work drawings, procedures, specifications, testing standards, purchase order, technical manuals, textbooks, general instructions.
