Philips general Purchasing (PGP), headquartered in the Netherlands, has been set up to cross sector purchase all non-product related materials and services in the area’s of Forwarding Distribution, Marketing Sales, IT, Facility Management Energy and Professional Personnel Services. We are now looking for a driven Nordic Purchaser/Strategic Buyer for the Marketing Sales area.
Job description
As a Nordic Purchaser/Strategic Buyer you are operationally responsible for the purchasing processes within the marketing and sales area. You develop, improve and implement local sourcing plans aligned with the business and global sourcing policies with the purpose is to add value to the Philips organization. You report to the Area CFO and to the respective Supply Manager and support the overall customer´s business goals in their pruchasing processes. Key areas of responsibility:
• Act as point of contact on site for relevant commodities towards the internal demand side to establish customer needs and requirements
• Create, communicate and implement operational and strategic sourcing solutions to users on sites
• Provide regular reports to customers that bring visibility on commodity level on value added, compliance and savings
• Identify, qualify, rank and select appropriate suppliers
• Manage supplier relations, problem solving and improvement actions at site or regional and sometimes national level
• Define and execute purchasing procedures (tendering, bidding generation and reviewing process) performs negotiating and contracting
• Implement global contracts and global contract conditions where possible; compare current vendor conditions against global contracts.
Qualifications
• University degree in Finance/Business administration on a master or bachelor level
• Purchasing/buying experience from sales- and marketing organization
• Experience with working in larger company, preferably international, with similar organizational structure and complexity
• Experience from a marketing/sales role is an advantage in order to fully understand the businesses
• Excellent communication (Swedish English fluently) and presentation skills, networker
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Open minded, pro-active, change agent, goal oriented, team worker.
