North American Equities – Long/Short Hedge Fund – Property Sector
A niche US and North American focused Long/Short Hedge Fund based in London covering cross-sector equities has opened a mandate to add an Equity Analyst to their fund. The Analyst will have direct experience coming straight from the MA division of a Bulge-Bracket bank or will work in a Long/Short Hedge Fund, ideally with experience within the Property sector.
The fund are US equity specialists and currently have 8 investment professionals within their team, each with their own sector specialism. Due to recent significant market activity within North American Property and Real Estate, the Hedge Fund are selectively looking at Property equity specialists to join their team and advise both on long and short investments within this space.
In order to be considered for the role, the ideal candidate will have the following traits:
- Excellent University and Financial background, ideally with bulge-bracket Investment banking and red-brick education. A Master's degree within Real Estate and Finance.
- Key Property/Real Estate/Construction/Building Materials sector coverage
- The Long/Short Fund Managers are willing to train buyside bottom-up coverage; however, experience already in the buyside is preferred, be that Private Equity, long/only or long/short equities
- Strong work ethic and excellent modelling and valuation skills
