Provide 1st level monitoring support for 24x7x365 global network operations security center (NOSC). Identify and respond to threats in the environment, as per the established procedures. Create tickets and follow-up as necessary until resolution. Deliver monitoring and incident reports, as required to support the overall program.
 
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
·         Minimum one year professional experience in a network monitoring or security monitoring role in a global Network Security Operations Center or Two years of strong experience in Network or Security Infrastructure support roles
·         Security monitoring systems (intrusion detection, security information event management)
·         Network devices (firewalls, routers, switches)
·         Network protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, IGRP, RIP, OSPF,BGP)
·         Microsoft Office applications, including Visio
 
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
·         Cisco Certificatiion (any certification)
 
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS 
·         Helpdesk experience
·         Cisco certifications
·         Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
·         Microsoft certifications
·         Red Hat certifications
·         Sun Microsystems certifications

·         Ability to interpret the letters and numbers on a personal computer screen and on memos, reports, and other documents
 
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
·         May be required to work outside of normal business hours and/or extended hours as necessary
