Provide 2nd level monitoring analysis for 24x7x365 global Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). Execute in-depth analysis of unusual activity, and assist the NOSC Operators with executing the proper escalation steps. Prepare and deliver monitoring reports to illustrate key program metrics. Recommend potential enhancements to the overall monitoring program.
 
·         Assist with the "on-boarding" process for monitoring inputs
·         Perform research and analysis of unusual activity
·         Determine cause and decide course of remediation
·         Analyze monitoring trends and create custom reports
·         Research and escalate to Tier 3 support as needed
·         Maintain related documentation and diagrams
·         Recommend changes to system configurations 
·         Respond to incidents
·         Research, Determine, Assist with investigations
·         Create formal incident reports
·         Review internal and external bulletins to maintain awareness
·         Provide Inputs / suggestions for continuous improvement
·         Participate in the continuous Improvement process and implement improvement initiatives
·         Participate / Perform NOSC projects and implement new NOSC services
·         Train NOSC Operators in performing new NOSC services
·         Identify areas of improvement and provide guidance to NOSC operators in strengthening Network and Security monitoring skills
 

 

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
·         Minimum two to three years professional experience in a network/security analyst role in a global Network Security Operations Center (This is in addition to any other technical role the candidate may have worked including network/security operator role in a network/security operations center)
·         Security monitoring systems (intrusion detection, security information event management)
·         Network devices (firewalls, routers, switches)
·         Network protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, IGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP)
·         Microsoft Office applications, including Visio
 
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
·         Cisco certifications

·         Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
·         Microsoft certifications
·         Red Hat certifications
·         Sun Microsystems certifications
