NREIS Controller recruitment
NREIS, based in Pittsburgh, PA, is a small-cap real estate services business acquired earlier this year by Fortress. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, the ability to be a self-starter and manage multiple projects at once and operate effectively in a team environment.
The Controller will:
- Oversee all accounting, financial, and disbursement functions for NREIS and its affiliates
- Provide assistance to CFO with analysis, forecasting, and decision support
- Lead monthly close, financial statement preparation and analysis
- Assist with budgeting and business forecasting processes
- Work within function and across functions to analyze and interpret financial results and trends
- Assist with business development efforts
- Other general finance and accounting duties as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or similar field
- Minimum of 8 years experience as corporate Controller, public accounting experience with a national or regional firm, or possess an MBA and 5+ years related experience
- CPA designation preferred, but not required
- Strong Excel and other Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Comfortable working with senior management and a financial sponsor
- Ability to take ownership of deliverables and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in real estate services or financial services is a plus, but not required
- Desire to live in and/or ties to Pittsburgh, PA area
