Our client is a global leader in providing quality mechanical solutions through to Manufacturing, Industrial Oil, Mining and Gas Industries. Due to rapid growth my client is looking for a strong and dedicated Project Applications Engineer to join their dedicated team of professionals. With offices nationally across Australia, our client boasts a high quality European manufactured product range.
The Position
- Assisting the sales process and project management of engineered products
- Support the sales team with redesign, tendering and quotations
- Liaise and manage project prior to development of quotation and prepare tender documentation
- Assist with the compilation of 2D and 3D drawings as required
- Contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives by ensuring that stakeholders are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent (essential)
- Demonstrated experience on Mechanical Engineering projects, ideally transmissions, gearboxes and/or related field with knowledge of industrial control systems
- Over 2 years experience in evaluating technical and commercial specifications, preparation of tenders and quotations
- Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD, MS Project and technical software programs, including PC skills
- At least 12 months experience working in an Australian setting
