Our client is one of the largest leading dealers with 42 years of growth in the market. With high ethics and a solid name for themselves and they have listed a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Service manager. With equipment being used in the construction mining, quarry, forestry market sectors there is large demand for service and repairs to Light to medium construction machinery.
You be required to mentor and train the engineering team whilst maintain the day to day operation in the workshops. You will be the key focus in driving the service forward for the state of NSW.
The prime key responsibilities are
- Maintain a safe healthy working environment in compliance with OH S policies regulations.
- Adhere to relevant procedures in accordance with the company quality management system.
- Supervise the Manufacture, Service and Repair of customer equipment as directed.
- Supervise trades, apprentices trades assistants as required
- Ensure parts required for manufacture, maintenance repair purposes are ordered and received on time
- Report daily on WIP and other relevant information to management regarding job progress
- Ensure the work carried out in the workshop is in compliance with the job specifications.
- Ensure all time cards, time recording is logged correctly.
- Ensure all tools, plant and equipment are suitable for use and maintained in a good operational and safe condition
- Manage and mentor Staff within the operation
- Profit and loss with yearly budget targets.
You must be highly motivated and have a passion for management. This position will see you move into senior management. Previous experience with hire construction or forestry equipment would be excellent.
Requirements –
Trade or engineering qualification – Mechanical
Previous Management skills
Confidence in working under pressure
Computer literate with Excel skills
And above all enthusiasm an motivation
