NU CONTENT DEVELOPER
This position is based within the Nuance Learning and Development team. The Nuance University Content Developer reports directly to the Program Manager, Customer Partner Learning and will be charged with designing and developing high-quality learning and reference modules and learning assets associated with the professional and technical learning needs of the various business divisions within Nuance; including employees as well as customers and partners.
- Design, develop, and author interactive and engaging online courses, assessments, simulations and other learning assets using a variety of tools and applications
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to build appropriate learning modules for the employees of Nuance
- Apply AICC and SCORM (e-Learning standards ) to development projects to ensure proper content deployment through our LMS (Learning Management System)
- Complete work with guidelines of Nuance University course development and design process and assist with continuous improvement of workflows and templates
- Interact with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and other project team members to create and design courses within specified budget and schedules
- Manage and maintain multiple curricula, taking online assets through development lifecycle, maintenance and end of life
- Communicate effectively with project team to insure that objectives, goals, and deadlines are fulfilled
- 3-5 years experience in online course development and Instructional Design, corporate experience strongly preferred; product training experience a plus
- 3-5 years experience with course/web development software; Flash, Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe CS5 suite and Dreamweaver. Broad development software experience preferred
- Intermediate graphics experience including working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Demonstrated experience with advanced AICC and SCORM communications
- Strong knowledge of online learning and distance education including practical knowledge of learning management systems
- Understanding of Web 2.0 technologies and their use in a corporate learning environment
- Effective communication skills, with high regard for quality customer interaction
- Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively under pressure; proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and solving problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team-oriented with high degree of professionalism and positive approach to others
- Audio/video capture and editing experience strongly preferred
- Graphic design experience a plus
- BA or equivalent in related discipline
