Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer I ( Experienced) Job in Crystal River 34428, Florida Us

This position is responsible for providing Mechanical Design Engineering support for the Crystal River 3 (CR3) Nuclear Generating Station.

Responsibilities include development and revision of a variety of engineering products (modifications, calculations, engineering evaluations, design basis documents and drawings) and for maintaining the overall design basis for plant systems and structures. Candidate must have minimum 3 years of nuclear experience and possess design engineering qualifications for calculations, design change package preparation and design verification.
NOTE: This position may be filled at a higher level if justified by the candidate's qualifications and experience.

This position is also responsible for maintaining the quality and the integrity of the plant systems and developed documentation to ensure it is in conformance with the CR3 Operating License, Updated Final Safety Analysis Report, Technical Specifications and the Quality Assurance Program.

Familiarization with Microsoft office products, with strong computer skills in Word, Access and Excel, is desired.

Candidate must be able to obtain access at the Crystal River Unit 3 Nuclear Plant, and demonstrate the ability to work in Radiation Controlled and Vital plant areas.
Post-Bachelor's degree (ex. Masters' or professional school equivalent). Area of Specialization (Master's in Engineering).

Bachelor's degree in engineering (not engineering technology program) from an ABET accredited program or a current PE license is required.

An international engineering degree will be considered.

A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. engineering degree. 3-5 years engineering experience required The duties of this position include substantial operation of a motor vehicle. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
