Job #2659: Nuclear Mechanical Project Engineer-Site Modifications
MECHANICAL ENGINEER - Position Description: Posting is for one Project Engineer in the area of Mechanical Engineering. The Project Engineer will be preparing design modifications, engineering calculations, performing engineering reviews of external contractor documentation and overseeing implementation of modifications.
The individual will become site modification qualified and will be required to prepare verify station modification packages. The Duane Arnold operating Project Engineer will work under the direction of the Nuclear Projects Engineering Manager.
Design modifications to prepare and/or oversee include:
o Cooling Tower Replacement (prepare and oversee modification)
o Reactor Recirculation Pump rotor replacement (support modification development)
o Digital EHC (support modification development)
Position Requires: Bachelor's - Mechanical Engineering; Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Engineering degree in Mechanical or equivalent training and experience allowing successful evaluation of technical evaluations and site modifications.
Qualifications:
Plant Specs Design Eval Analysis - Basic;BWR Nuclear Power Plant - Advanced;Master's - Engineering;Planning Scheduling - Competent;Effective Written Communications - Advanced;Quality Tools Techniques - Advanced;Decision Making - Competent;Analytical Problem Solving - Expert;Project / team leadership - Competent;Experience in BWR design control is desirable.
