Nuclear Software V&V / Test Lead Job in Norcross, Georgia Us
RCS has an immediate need for a Nuclear Experienced Software VV Test Lead for a long term contract to permanent or direct hire opening in Norcross, GA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Independant VV Director, the VV Test Lead will lead the software and system test team to prepare, review, and verify software integration and system test including acceptance test documents and provide guidance to prioritization and process change/enhancement activities.
- Supports or coordinates with the test field manager in the execution of test procedures against safety related digital IC software/system requirements.
- Identifies technical opportunities in such areas as efficiency improvement, quality improvement, cost reduction, and reliability and performance improvements.
- Ensures that the safety related digital IC systems meet customer requirements and are compliant with IEEE Standard 1012-1998, required QA policies and relevant regulations.
- Builds and sustains a team of experienced software and system test engineers.
- Works with cross-functional teams to review and verify software component, software integration, and system test plans, and test specifications/procedures.
- Works on test estimation activities to align proper resources and budget.
- Leads the efforts in developing automated and/or semi-automated testing tools.
- Provides and communicates direction to ensure continuous improvement and establishment of best practices in the test activities.
- Supports and coordinates with the field test manager in the execution of Factory Acceptance Tests per released procedures and generation of test reports.
- Effectively communicates and presents findings, problems, and solutions, including recommendations for actions in test documents preparation and release.
- Reports and/or resolves VV and testing issues using Anomaly Tracking System.
- Motivates, monitors, and mentors Junior Engineers.
Required:
- BS degree in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Work experience required of individuals holding a MS or higher degree in one of these fields may be less.
- 8+ years directly related work experience in test engineering including at least 5 recent years in the commercial nuclear industry.
- At least 4+ years of experience in digital IC software or system level Factory Acceptance Testing.
- Minimum 2+ years experience managing people.
- Experience with different software testing techniques and test automation.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements and software/system architectures.
