No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Develops, revises and verifies Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry. Provides machine operator instructions and documentation for automated or numerically controlled equipment per established process. Works under close supervision of senior NC Programmer. Tries to ensure that required equipment and/or materials are in appropriate locations so that own and others work can be done effectively. Generally uses time effectively and usually prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with work completion. Technical + Computer Aided Tools Knowledge Basic knowledge of computer aided tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive data.) (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, compare measurement data, create stereo lithography files. + Engineering Drawings Specs Basic ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. + Machine Control Data (MCD) Basic ability to utilize or create source geometry for generation of Machine Control Data (MCD). Ability to verify MCD and create documentation to support manufacturing processes. + Manufacturing Methods Basic knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems). Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies. + Operations Processes Basic knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed by Operations departments and/or disciplines. Basic Qualifications For Consideration Do you have a minimum of 6 months experience in writing or editing Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machine programs? Typical Education/Experience AA degree in related discipline. Other Job related information Prefer experience using computer aided tools and systems such as CAD/CAM and CATIA.
