Department Overview:

Fitch’s European Structured Finance team maintains existing ratings and assigns ratings to new structured finance transactions. Fitch currently rates Structured Finance transactions across four main asset classes: Asset Backed Securities, Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities and Structured Credit.

Fitch Ratings maintains surveillance on over 1,500 European structured finance transactions.

Job Description:

Fitch is currently seeking a Numerical Credit Analyst to join the European Structured Finance Group. The successful candidate will be part of a team of analysts rating structured credit products including Collateralized Loan Obligations.

A central element of the position is maintenance and modification of cash flow and quantitative portfolio credit models, including monte carlo simulation models. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong numerical and good programming expertise to develop their skills further by working on advanced financial models.

Person Specification:

This is a demanding and exciting role so we are looking for highly motivated candidates. All candidates must demonstrate an interest in financial markets.

Candidates should have an academic degree at masters level in a numerical field including engineering, finance and economics, computer science or similar subjects.

Successful candidates will be highly numerate and analytical, with excellent Excel skills and good programming skills.

 At a minimum, candidates should have advance VBA skills. Knowledge of Microsoft visual Studio and C/C++ programming is an advantage.
