Nurse Manager Job in Melville 11747, New York Us

Major metropolitan area home nursing agency on Long Island needs a Nurse Manager. The company provides one-on-one care for patients who need infusion therapy in the familiar surroundings of their own homes. In this position, you will:

 

·     Develop and implement in-service training for home infusion nurses

·     Direct the supervision and evaluation of nursing staff. Interview and hire nurses and support staff.

·     Develop and implement quality management systems, so that patients receive the best possible care

·     Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

·     Ensure that nursing services and patient care procedures are in compliance with state and federal health statutes and administrative rules

·     Oversees nursing document management and reporting systems

·     Budget management

 

To qualify, you must be a Registered Nurse in New York State, with at least three years of home health nursing management experience. You must be IV certified and have excellent experience in infusion care, with the ability to train and supervise others. Bachelors degree in Nursing or similar is required. Public Health Nurse (PHN) would be a great plus. Since this is a management position, you must demonstrate that you have both excellent clinical skills in infusion therapy, and that you have significant and complex management experience with a field nursing staff.
