JOB OVERVIEW

Located at our Northside Medical Center campus, the Nurse Manager of SICU provides for the overall management of the unit including post open heart. Responsibilities include customer service, patient satisfaction, patient safety, continuously improving quality and clinical performance, maintaining compliance with all federal/state regulations, company policies, and Joint Commission standards, hiring and developing excellent clinical personnel, maintaining positive physician and stakeholder relations, achieving staff productivity goals, maintaining effective staffing plans, achieving financial/budget results, and demonstrating positive leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Successful applicants will possess a BSN, (Master's Degree is preferred), and a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a busy ICU with a demonstrated record of accomplishments. CCRN preferred. Applicants should possess advanced knowledge of nursing practices, Joint Commission standards, and healthcare administration. Applicants should also possess advanced communication skills (verbal and written), excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a strong ability to educate and motivate clinical and non-clinical personnel.
