Prescribing accordingly. Consulting with physician as appropriate. Performing routine therapeutic procedures including, but not limited to, injections, immunizations, lesion destruction/removal, suturing and care of wounds. Taking culture specimens; giving injections; providing care for minor burns; and applying and removing casts and traction devices. Instructing and counseling patients on physical/mental health including, but not limited to, diet, preventive health measures, disease, treatment, and normal growth and development. Independently performing evaluation and treatment procedures necessary to provide an appropriate response to life-threatening emergency situations. Providing emergency medical interventions until a physician arrives. Dictating medical and nursing plan and maintaining records. General Qualifications Master of Science degree in Nursing with certification by appropriate governing body and current Wisconsin Registered Nurse licensure. Eligibility or current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) prescribing privileges. Desired Qualifications Two years of previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Ability to work as a member of a health care team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
