Essential Functions:
- New position to support the new Hepatitis B program.
- Duties will include tracking Hep B patients, review of labs and determine follow-up, review of chart to determine other needs for this group of patients.
- Ability to manage patients on medication protocols.
- Proven record of ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other medical personnel required.
- Ability to do patient education in group and solo settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessment of health status, development of treatment management plans, providing clinical management and appropriate follow-up in accordance with established approved Nurse Practitioner's protocols.
- Ability to function as a team member and work with a multi-disciplinary staff is essential.
- Ability to serve as a resource to team members required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with a diverse patient population and knowledge of customer service issues and community standards of care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIV disease and complications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anal disease including sexually transmitted infections and other non-infectious conditions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of good clinical practice in research preferred.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- MSN required.
- Current California Nurse Practitioner License and National Certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support Certificate (BCLS Card) required.
- BLS required.
- California RN.
- California Furnishing Number required.
- Current DEA required/eligible.
- 1 year (within the past 3 years) experience requires as a NP providing specialized care for persons with GI conditions.
- Will include management of patient with hepatitis, including intensive management and follow up.
- Specialized caring in the field of gastroenterology preferred.
- Adult NP or Family NP or Acute Care NP required.
- Mandarin speaking preferred
- Must be Medicare and Medi-Cal eligible which requires a Masters Degree in Nursing and current
- National Certification from one of the following organizations:
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; American Nurses Credentialing Center; National Certification
- Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties; National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses.
- Must have a UPIN, or be UPIN eligible, which requires a Masters Degree in Nursing and current National
- Certification from one of the following organizations: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; American Nurses Credentialing Center; National Certification
Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties; Neonatal Nursing Specialties;
- National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses.
