Specific Job Description Position offers the unique opportunity to shape culture of wellness at this site in partnership with local HR, ESH and business partners. Experience with health education in groups and/or health coaching of individuals is highly desired. Position is in support of the operations for Lockheed Martin's enterprise wide Health and Wellness medical centers network. The Wellness Center Senior Nurse Practitioner provides general medical care and treatment under the direction of a physician. Position requires demonstrated sound independent judgment related to employee?s health care and safety. Position requires knowledge of all relevant laws and regulations governing mid-level providers, and maintenance of patient privacy and confidential patient information. Additionally, position requires that selected candidate be able to be credentialed as a health care provider, meet the physical requirements for the position and be able to wear/use a respirator (N-95 filtering face piece or higher). Position will be primarily responsible for the following: -Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidance and instructions of a Physician. -Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. -Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatments such as physical therapy. -Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis. -Evaluates health education/promotion needs of patients and provides necessary instruction. -Refers patients to a Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. -Familiar with the use of computers and programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. -Minimal business travel (less than 10%) may be required. Local travel may be more. -Ability to assist physicians through competent performance. -Other duties as assigned. Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatments such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis. Carries out duties and responsibilities consistent with local laws and regulations. Requires a Master of Science degree in nursing. Possession of an active license, in good standing, to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the state(s) of employment and practice. Current state and federal DEA certification as pertinent to state regulations. Ability to be credentialed as a health care provider. Minimum of 3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
