POSITION NUMBER: 25216BR FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Nurse Health Care RELOCATION COVERED: No Summary Function: Nursing Pay Type: Non-Exempt Position Number: 11035758 Nurse RN Employee Type: Full Time Relocation: No SUMMARY: The expectation of this position is to deliver Health services established by the Environmental, Health and Safety management team to support business unit objectives in Georgia and North Carolina. Essential functions of this position include: providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, dispensing over the counter and prescription medications as ordered, performing required health assessments for specified programs; conducting required screening tests such as drug and alcohol testing, spirometer testing or audiometric testing, maintaining OSHA, state and team member health records, and participating in plant safety and ergonomic programs; assisting with team member health promotion, education and training programs, and identifying workers compensation cases, assisting with maintenance and documentation of workers compensation files, and performing other duties as the need arises. Requirements Education: Minimum academic preparation includes completion of registered nurse accredited school of nursing program and current license to practice as a registered nurse in state of employment. Experience: 1 plus years experience in the performance of nursing skills relative to Occupational Health Nursing, preferred. Current CPR/First Aid instructor certification, preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills including generating simple letters, spreadsheets or creating simple queries; may require knowledge of the Tyson Business computer system. Special Skills: Good problem-solving and organizational skills desired. Supervisory: None BiosecurityRequirements: When visiting jobsites/biosecurity environments, showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical IDjewelry; must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, and birds). The company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularlylift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to touch, handle or feel objects,tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, talk or hear; drive a vehicle within the farm complex. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Physical Environment: Required to work on concrete, potentially wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, and cold environments. Personal Protective Equipment: When visiting facilities, this position is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required PPE. Travel: Travel is extensive to all facilities within the determined area which may include overnight travel for several days.Position-Specific RequirementsPosition will be responsible for facilities in Georgia and North Carolina.
