Senior Communities is hiring a Casual Nursing Assistant LTC to help support the SLCSM-Personal Care Department for its Seneca Manor location in Penn Hills. Shifts available are primarily evenings (some day shift). Provide care and well being of all Assisted Living Facility residents. Responsibilities Provide direct resident care as assigned. Identify special resident problems and reports them immediately to Charge Nurse. Assist with the transporting of residents within the facility including immediate surrounding area. Document in nursing assistant notes the care and treatment provided to the resident and the resident's response or lack of response to care provided. Promptly answers call lights. Give required daily care to all residents, including repositioning, ambulation assistance, delivery of meals and assistance with feeding when necessary and all other tasks related to resident safety, comfort and well-being. Follow established performance standards and performs duties according to nursing service policies and procedures. Listen to resident/family concerns and assume responsibility for follow through. Assist new employees in following established facility policies and procedures. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, staff, physicians, families, consultant personnel and ancillary service providers. Assist with gathering, laundering, folding and distributing towels to residents. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Licensure/Certifications Cardio Pulmonary Resusitation Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate required or must be attained upon hire prior to direct care being provided.
