We are looking for an Occupancy Specialist.

When searching for a new apartment home, very often the first person you speak with is an Occupancy Specialist. We recognize that first impressions make all the difference, and the ideal candidate understands the importance of a smile and friendly voice. Providing excellent customer service to current and prospective residents is essential.

An Occupancy Specialist is a Customer Service position. The ideal candidate must be able to address the concerns of current and future residents in a friendly and professional manner. A successful Occupancy Specialist must have strong organizational abilities, follow-up skills, and an attention to the little details that often make all the difference with current and prospective residents.

Major responsibilities include such tasks as making appointments, receiving and screening visitors, receiving and screening telephone calls using a telephone script, maintaining and controlling confidential files and records, preparing leases for occupancy and making initial computation of rents and monthly payments according to authority policy, reviewing applications and interviews applicants for housing.

The Occupancy Specialist also maintains the waiting list of applicants for housing, determines applicant eligibility, maintaining continuing compliance and resident relations, upholding all fair housing principles, and applying the unique Program rules correctly including the student, unit transfer, unit vacancy and available unit rules.
