Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 20 hour position per week.

Job Purpose:

The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for working with other members of the home care rehabilitation team to provide quality care to patients with a variety of physical disabilities. The Staff OTR will plan and implement treatment programs according to departmental policy with the goal of maximizing the patient's level of functioning and independence in daily life skills. The Staff OTR is responsible for documenting services rendered and participating in ongoing evaluation of quality of care provided.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the supervision of the Home Care Clinical Director. Supervision will consist of formal and informal observations and co-treatment with supervisor as needed.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
May supervise OT and OTA students or COTA as assigned by the Administrator or Clinical Director. Responsible for patient caseload.

Qualifications:

1. AOTCB
2. New Hampshire and Massachusetts state licensed.
3. Required to be trained and re-certifed annually in CPR.
4. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record as defined by Hospital insurance company.
5. Must comply with New Hampshire and Massachusetts State licensure requirement of a minimum of 12 clock hours of continuing education per calendar year.
6. Good general health and emotional stability.
7. Ability to bend, lift, or assist with transfers and ambulation.
8. Adequate physical strength to assist with restrictive activities.
9. Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and active auto insurance policy as defined by Hospital’s Auto Insurance Company.

Physical Requirements:

1. Frequent pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount.
2. Perform maximum assist/dependent transfers as necessary.
3. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing.
