Responsibilities

Implements young adult through geriatric patient treatment under the supervision of an O.T.R. and the direction of a physician. Responsible for documentation of treatment, charges and statistics. Participates in inservice education. Participates in the student program. Attends staff meetings and team meetings as assigned. Assists with program development.

Qualifications

Graduate of a two year accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.

Current certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professions.

Must have had recent clinical contact with relevant population in a physical disabilities setting (field work experience two months).

Must be able to show evidence of continued education through courses, seminars, etc.

Maintains current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Has been educated in the developmental needs of the young adult through geriatric populations.
