Office and Accounts Coordinator Job in Watford, Home Counties UK

Our client is an expanding electrical engineering and technology company who pride themselves on developing their own product brand.  This privately owned company has been established since 1945 and is continuing to grow. The role of Office and Accounts Coordinator will be critical in their plans for further development.

 

The Office and Accounts Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating the accounts related work, analysis and reporting on company financial data and ensuring that Directors receive timely, accurate and relevant information to enable them to make effective decisions. The role will also be responsible for ensuring that the Company’s office buildings and warehouses are maintained as cost effective, safe and secure environments and ensuring the effective provision of office services to all employees. The Office and Accounts Coordinator will also be involved in human resources issues such as recruitment, selection and induction of new employees, maintenance of employee records and compliance with employment law.

 

This is an exciting and varied role. The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors to ensure the smooth running of the business and enable it to grow effectively.

 

The ideal candidate must:

 

·         Be AAT qualified (or equivalent / by experience)

·         Have experience in a similar role, ideally within the engineering or technology  sector, including experience of: 

 

o   Compiling and analysing financial data

o   Managing office facilities

o   Coordinating office administration

o   Human Resources

 

·         Have excellent IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft office and accountancy database packages (the company  currently uses Sage MMS)

·         Be numerate, with a good understanding and feel for figures

·         Be proactive, highly organised and show excellent attention to detail

·         Be approachable with excellent communication skills and a clear, concise reporting style

·         Be able to work under pressure and use discretion, diplomacy and impartiality of judgement

·         Be trustworthy, responsible, confident and flexible in approach
