Hubert Burda Media is looking for an experienced and German speaking Office Manager to join their London Correspondent Office
The position of office manager within a busy team of journalists combines sole responsibility for the following accounting and administrative responsibilities:
- Computer input into remote SAP system
- Maintaining purchase ledger incl. input and payment of invoices
- Accounts to trial balance
- Bank reconciliation
- Managing cash flow
- Petty Cash
- Budget preparation
- VAT return
- PAYE year end returns
- Reporting on payroll adjustments (but not running the payroll)
- Ordering office supplies
- Dealing with confidential personnel and administrative matters
- Reporting monthly statistical information
- General office administration and correspondence
Required Experience
- Fluent in English and German, both written and oral
- IT literate, knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook and a good knowledge of SAP
- Self-motivated, proactive and flexible
- You are able to multitask and work to tight schedules
- Very good communication skills and confident when dealing with clients, contractors and German headquarters
