Office of Social Responsibility Policy Manager

Develop and manage the Port's Workforce Development Strategy consistent with CEO and Commission direction and establish methods for assessing the effectiveness of OSR programs aligned with the workforce development and small business strategies. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop strategies, plans and actions to further the Port of Seattle's Century Agenda goal of promoting workforce development and small business growth. Incorporate and recommend expansion, as appropriate, of the workforce development and small business program, pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs. Incorporate research and analysis to help refine related goals and objectives. Evaluate current metrics and recommend new or revised metrics to track and report the effectiveness of the activities, expenses and actions of the Office of Social Responsibility (OSR). Establish reporting protocols, prepare and deliver regular reports to the Port Commission, CEO and staff articulating the relevance and effectiveness of expenditures in relationship to the Workforce Development Strategy and OSR programs. Manage consulting contracts, service agreements and budgets related to the Workforce Development Strategy and other OSR programs and needs consistent the Port's procurement policies and processes. Provide leadership and direction, including hiring, coaching and performance evaluation, to the Office of Social Responsibility Program Analyst.
