Responsibilities
- Assist in handling and investigating customer due diligence documentation requirements and due diligence requirements for relevant lines of business
- Assisting in handling investigations and enquires
- Assist in AML related projects, risk assessments, regulatory inspections
- To work with Global AML Compliance in relation to internal policies and procedures that will ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and guidelines.
- To identify areas of risk and to interface, manage and resolve risk issues with the relevant business units.
- To perform any other AML-related responsibilities as necessary or directed.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of AML experience with a global financial institution, forensic accounting or due diligence firm or regulator or law enforcement, ideally with a background in KYC and investigations
- Fundamental understanding of how money launderers operate in the global market.
- Strong analytical skills and probative thinking
- Financial market understanding
- Excellent written and spoken English together with Chinese (written and oral) (Cantonese Mandarin) would be a preference.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solution driven, confident and highly motivated.
- Mature, independent, calm, discreet, friendly and practical.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Educated to degree level
