GCSO supports both the front office teams within the Corporate Banking division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and supports the treasury, commercial credit and technical service needs of Global Corporate Bank and Global Commercial Bank clients. The GCSO division provides Cash Management products and services to a global client base. The GCSO division assists our Clients to manage their Treasuries and Cash levels efficiently.
GCSO is split into Fulfillment Servicing, Documentation and Operations businesses.
Fulfillment and Servicing Global Client Fulfillment Servicing is responsible for the implementation and servicing of all treasury, credit and depository solutions primarily for the Global Commercial and Corporate Bank clients. Our team works directly with clients and collaborates with business partners to provide a seamless world class fulfillment and service experience.
Documentation is responsible for on boarding of new clients to ensure that Bank of America Merrill Lynch meets both the regulatory and internal AML/KYC requirements. The Documentation Team also provides guidance and training to other members in EMEA Fulfillment and Sales regarding legal documentation, AML requirements and client requests.
Operations The Operations division within GCSO, facilitates 36 incoming and outgoing high-value low-value, cross-border and multicurrency payments utilizing a number of internally developed and vendor supported payment systems and infrastructure. Operations teams are located in the Americas (U.S., Canada and LATAM), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality focused individual who can effectively communicate with clients at all levels. Responsible for independently acting as the primary interface with the client to establish all connectivity between organizations. Organizes all internal and external project related activities to ensure a timely and smooth client implementation process. Exercises judgment and discretion with respect to client relations and problem resolutions. Must be a team player, take end-to-end ownership, and drive for results to grow the business, sustain intensity and optimism while focusing on the client.
Responsibilities:
- Project managing the implementation of treasury solutions with new and existing clients to Bank of America – covering core product solutions / service offerings.
- Work in partnership with the client to create and agree an implementation delivery timeline, clearly communicate the project status, identify issues, resolution steps and deadlines.
- Co-ordinate with our internal Business Partners as necessary. Attend conference calls where specific cash management and client knowledge will assist with the execution of the solution.
- Provide support and guidance to Sales Officers where required/requested during the sales process.
Requirements:
Prospective candidate must be able to demonstrate that their knowledge and skill set would compliment and bring added value to the Implementation Team, typically from the following key areas:
- Experience dealing with clients at all levels in a positive and professional manner with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and project management experience preferably concentrating on cash management solutions for corporate organisations and/or financial institutions.
- Experience of working within a pan-European environment.
- Prior banking experience with a basic understanding of Treasury Management products, in-country banking systems, cut off times, pricing conventions and common account and liquidity structures as well as e-banking payment delivery systems an advantage.
- Self motivating, flexible, proactive; excellent team player and able to work independent of direct supervision
- Problem/solving/analytical and organizational skills
- European language skills would be an advantage, specifically Portuguese, Spanish, Italian or German
- General PC, Windows and Excel Knowledge
Preferred:
- Some experience with the legal and/or regulatory framework would be an advantage.
- European languages, Portuguese if possible
