Description
Working in a team of 2-3 people managing the Futures internal business relationships across all aspects of Exchange Traded Derivatives clearing and settlement.
With the increasing in the House portfolios and Traders, this role is an essential component of the FO offering in the region and is the first point of contact for all FO middle office queries
The primary functions of this role will include supporting all trade exceptions, managing expiries and confirming daily margin flows. The role encompasses a significant amount of trader support and therefore candidates must posses an ability to communicate across all business levels and have strong interpersonal skills.
One of the challenges of this role will be the involvement in a number of middle office project deliverables relating to the business expansion plans around increased Exchange memberships.
- Responsible of managing trade and positions reconciliation
- Send relevant reports to House Support Team in timely manner
- Assist in resolving trade and positions and settlement queries
- Ensure all breaks are escalated in accordance with departmental escalation procedures
- Liaise with other functional groups including traders, London office, to resolve any problems and provide assistance where necessary.
As a member of the FO Middle Office team the successful candidate will be required to work towards providing a high level of service in all House business aspects based in Asia / Asia Pacific. They will be responsible for ensuring that all issues raised by internal clients are resolved in a timely manner and take responsibility for all downstream communication.
The successful candidate must integrate with the existing team and learn how RBS process FO transactions paying particular attention to timely allocation of internal client business. Attributes of the successful candidate include: confident and self assured, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, must be attentive to detail, proactive and flexible.
Experience
- Essential: 2-3 years experience working in Operations is essential to understand the fundamentals of FO reconciliation and settlement. Fluent in English
Qualifications
- Essential: Graduate level. Understanding of Futures and Options Products. Strong IT skills
- Desirable: Language skills an advantage, but not essential
Technical Competence
- Essential: ETD experience. MO experience
- Desirable: Rolfe Nolan system knowledge
