DNV Oil and Gas Risk Management Solutions Department in Houston is seeking a senior or principal offshore QRA specialist.
The position is within the HSE Section, which consists of approximately 25 consultants with a strong culture of teamwork. Key services provided in the group include: safety risk assessment (mostly using Phast or SOQRATES), unique and unusual risk assessment, navigational risk assessment, environmental risk assessment, incident investigation, safety case development, and HS management system development.
Since the marketplace is so diverse, some participation is expected in a wide variety of services and approaches. While not required, the position provides the opportunity to take leadership in developing business and building an extensive network of clients.
Major Duties
The successful candidate will work in cross functional consulting teams involved in project delivery, project management and business development, supporting clients in the upstream oil and gas industry. These roles also involve developing other consultants through project management activity and coaching.
We are interested in people with the ability to deliver services within the following areas:
- Offshore safety risk consulting
- Mathematical modeling in SOQRATES and Excel
Job Requirements:

- Very knowledgeable in the uses and limitations of SOQRATES

- Good knowledge of (DNV) systems and services in safety/risk engineering

- Previous risk consulting experience
- Safety Case knowledge is also an advantage
