Oil & Gas Analyst
The role will focus on companies in the oil and gas sector, and produce equity research for investment firms, asset managers, pension funds and hedge funds on a global scale.
This will involve identifying potentially attractive long term investment opportunities in global equities, building models, producing forecasts, contacting management, and making comprehensively documented recommendations for equities to be included in the funds.
It is envisaged that the individual will also be tasked with analysis of other elements of the investment markets from time to time. This implies a need for strong financial, quantitative and numerical skills, a familiarity with building models and with the technical aspects of markets within Oil and Gas.
Qualifications
- Degree educated, preferably in Finance or Business or equivalent experience
- Comprehensive understanding of company strategies, financial statements
- Deep appreciation of sector issues and top class communication skills.
- Experience of having worked in these sectors as analysts on the sell side/buy side, or had appropriate strategy/finance roles within leading firms
- The selected candidates must be passionate about research and have a strong sense of integrity and analytical excellence
