Oil & Gas Relationship Manager, European Investment Bank, London
My client, a leading European bank with a top-rated Energy platform, is looking to make the hire of a Senior Associate or Junior VP level candidate with significant experience in the energy space into their London office. This is an excellent and very interesting opportunity in a team which is relationship rather than product driven – thus giving a great exposure to a wide variety of transactions and high deal flow. A rare and challenging role.
The role:
- Client relationship management responsibility for managing and developing all aspects of the bank's relationship with assigned energy clients using the client team model. You will have primary responsibility for the relationship management / marketing and origination of credit and non-credit products with a focus on European oil and gas companies / the oilfield sector. Utility financing experience is also a plus.
- Financial modelling, producing and presenting credit memos, keeping the team up-to-date on industry developments and also credit exposure with complex reserve based and LBO structures.
- Preparation of annual budgets/marketing/action plans.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Energy colleagues in other geographical units in order to foster cross border dialogue and information sharing
- Maintenance and development of relationships with clients and also external energy professionals such as brokers, bankers and lawyers.
Requirements:
- This is a Senior Associate / Junior Vice President level position. Candidates are expected to have strong experience of the Oil Gas sector.
- Should have good product knowledge of RBLs and LBOs (project finance is an additional bonus).
- Essential to be able to originate new business as well as maintain / create strong relationships.
- Must be a strong team player.
- A qualified candidate will demonstrate a desire and capacity to develop his or herself professionally and a willingness to operate successfully in a hard-working, team and results orientated environment
- Experience from deal execution, arranging and portfolio management.
