Oil & Gas Super Major
One of the world’s largest companies is looking for Business Analysts to work within the trading arm supporting all Group activities specifically in the areas of Oil, Gas Power. The need exists for experienced people in the Energy sector to work within the Front Office, managing large IT projects from cradle to grave. The ideal fit is a Business Analyst / Project Manager / Solutions Architect with strong Business experience ideally gained in a Risk Management role, and working knowledge of one of the major ETRM systems (Openlink Endur, Zai*Net / Aligne, Allegro, CXL, Amphora Symphony etc)
Your role will have you covering European Oil, Gas, Power and LNG trading desks, working on their ETRM system. The role is based solely in their Central London office, with no travel, so may be attractive to candidates looking to keep their travel low, or move out of consulting into industry.
Responsibilities:
- To interface directly with the business at multiple levels to perform business analysis, evaluating opportunities and contributing to prioritization.
- Liaising with trading desk to implement ETRM software, specifically Openlink Endur, Zai*Net / Aligne, Allegro, CXL…
- Participation in business strategic discussions to bring the view of technology implications on strategic discussions.
- Identify and mature business IT opportunities through Business Plan and Business Vertical Delivery
- Business change enabler for effective use of information and IT.
- Engage with the business stakeholders to discuss request and analyze business requirements.
- Define IT solutions in support of business requirements, IT direction and target portfolio architecture.
Required:
- Strong Energy and Commodities industry experience
- Understanding of fundamentals of Market Risk (VaR, Forward Curves etc..)
- Working knowledge of ETRM software (e.g. Endur Openlink, Zai*Net / Aligne…)
- Previous Project experience from a Business Analyst focus or Project Management
- Excellent Academic Record (minimum 2.1 or equivalent from a top University)
- Ability to self-manage and work to strict deadlines
- Confidence in facing off to internal and external stakeholders.
