Oil & Gas Trade Control Analyst – £45-50k
Joining my clients’ Trade Control Team, you’ll provide real-time front-line control and management information for management, vessel charters and traders. This includes daily profit and loss measurement, trading exposure reporting and risk reporting. Because of the unique position of the team in the middle of the commodity trading commercial activities, the team will also support broader commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Keep detailed track of crude availabilities, equity and term oil
- Report timely and accurate daily market exposure and profit loss for a trading book, ensuring consistency and accounting ledgers
- Analyse and investigate results obtained from the underlying data
- Monitor and provide feedback on risk limits
- Provide routine analyses of book performance to the vessel charters and traders
- Spot and remedy any problems with relevant data (transaction, market or reference data)
Skills Required:
- Experience of financial hedging on oil products
- Strong academic middle office experience in a similar role in an oil trading company
- Knowledge of risk measure in physical trading
- Knowledge of vessel chartering or trading in physical oil products
- Knowledge of control processes applicable in a trading / regulated environment
Salary: £45-50k basic + lunch allowance + bonus + benefits
