The Company
Our client is one of the largest commodities trading MNCs in the world. They are currently expanding their operations in the region.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of the Desk you will analyse exposure and M2M profit and loss and VaR on physical / derivative oil portfolios, and produce daily commentary to explain the change in the trading profit and loss due to market changes / change in estimated / actual economics for each deal.
You will ensure all market price risk is captured and hedge actions executed, as well as construct forward curves for physical and hedging purposes. Additionally, you will help with reconciling front and mid office systems and the creation and maintenance of ad-hoc reports.
Your Profile
You will be a degree holder, with some experience in the crude oil industry and knowledge of physical / derivative oil markets and underlying structures and instruments. Knowledge of physical oil logistics and strong Excel skills are an added advantage.
