We have an excellent opportunity within a leading marketing research organisation based in Central London for an Omnibus Analysis and Sampling Manager.

 

Role Description

The overall objective of Omnibus Analysis and Sampling Manager is to manage the Omnibus Analysis and Sampling team, ensuring they are:

 

-Producing accurate Omnibus data deliverables using the most efficient methods within deadline

-Covering companywide sample requests

 

Management

-To demonstrate strong leadership of the Omnibus Analysis and Sampling team

-To monitor and co-ordinate their workloads, assisting them in their everyday tasks where relevant.

-To take overall responsibility for ensuring Omnibus and Field and Tab output deadlines are met. 

 

Technical skills

-To possess an excellent understanding and level of proficiency in role specific software including; Desktop Reporting tabulation package, sample management systems, survey scripting, coding open end software, SPSS. (Complete on the job training will be provided where necessary to allow candidate to progress to necessary level as quickly as possible)

 

Data analysis

-To manage and co-ordinate the team’s handling of daily Omnibus Analysis requests, Field Tab surveys and external data surveys.

-To display a very good level of understanding of the weighting process

-To have an excellent working relationship with the Omnibus research team to better understand their data requirements

-To advise the Operations Execs on best practice in all elements of data analysis, including weighting.

 

Coding

-To possess a very good understanding of the coding process

-To communicate effectively with the coders, ensuring requirements are made clear and understood, responding quickly when something does not go to plan.

-To demonstrate use of advanced features in Ascribe (training to be provided where necessary).

 

Panel Care

-To understand the importance of good panel care

-To work with the team to resolve panel member issues or problems that require attention.

 

Sampling

-To monitor usage of panel and report areas that require recruitment

-To assist client teams in developing sample frames and use judgement to assess appropriate sampling strategy for a project

-To quickly get to grips with the client’s specific sampling software and demonstrate ability to use efficiently and effectively

-To advise others in team, as well as researchers, on best sampling practise where necessary, always aiming for sampling strategies to be as efficient as possible.

 

Feasibility

-Able to advise on feasibility requests, learning what data we hold on panel members and how to find it, in order to send realistic estimates on sample achievement and timings to researchers.

-Where required, use data available to establish sampling and weighting targets, as well the feasibility implications of these.

-Able to advise researchers on cost per interview and able to respond to researcher’s requests for Operations costings.

 

Survey scripting

-Able to script Oracle survey in Gryphon, test link and set survey live (training provided)

 

Person Specification

The Omnibus Analysis and Sampling Manager should have relevant experience in the areas listed above as well as the desire and intellect to develop their role and learn new skills. Strong mathematical skills (statistical ability) are essential as well as sampling experience.
