THE POSITION
The Chicago Brand Manager position will be responsible for the day to day execution of the market sales plan in the on-premise channel. Responsibilities will include customer sales calls, development and ongoing maintenance of target lists, tracking of distribution, maintenance of market competitive information; distributor sales team training and work withs, and distributor sales meeting presentations. The selected candidate will be the key representative for VOSS Water with the trade and will need to have the ability to create and maintain positive relationships with trade customers and distributor personnel.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
VOSS On-Premise Brand Manger needed to work with distributors and independently to grow sales, and expand product placement in the On-Premise channel (Hotels, Restaurants, Nightlife), to cover the Chicago market.
- Work the key On-Premise trade developing relationships, building brand presence and sales in assigned area
- Secures and expands distribution in assigned trade channel by setting benchmarks and calling on accounts both independently and with distributor personnel
- Coaches, trains and motivates distributor personnel to achieve monthly, quarterly annual sales, distribution and revenue objectives through scheduled and unscheduled meetings, route rides, trade surveys and weekly / monthly reporting
- Review monthly distributor depletion reports to identify opportunities, underperforming accounts or potential loss of distribution within an account
- Manage appointed distributor, implementing brand strategies and objectives
- Create local brand programs in conjunction with distributor
- Prepare and present staff trainings in key accounts driving brand sales and up sell
- Achieve assigned goals (distribution / volume) in respective selling area
- Work within assigned POS and travel budgets managing company funds professionally
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Distributor/supplier management; On-Premise experience within the beverage industry highly preferred;
- 4 year college degree
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Driven for results and able to handle complexity and change on the go
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook PP (reporting, presentations, correspondence and documentation purposes)
- Presently have solid relationships with distributors and key on premise decision makers in assigned markets - (hotels, restaurants, night clubs, etc )
- Results driven, Energetic Proactive
- Polished Sales Presentation Skills
- Ability to coach/train/motivate/Influence
- Analytical skills/strategic vision
