Advertising Account Executive – Internet Advertising Sales
Sell advertising space: prospect new clients, build and maintain client relationships, present proposals, and close advertising contracts. Increase ad revenue.
This position focuses on selling online advertising space on the country’s largest motorcycle news website. Flexible schedule and travel is required for success in this position. Attention to detail, multi-tasking and proficient computer skills and exceptional written communication are also essential to being successful. Actual duties include selling advertising campaign packages and sponsorships, creating and presenting proposal options, understanding advertising inventory, maintaining client relationships, researching and prospecting new clients, meeting monthly sales goals, ensuring effective campaign delivery through staff coordination for each campaign, creating necessary sales materials, and reporting progress regularly.
Duties
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts regularly
- Maintain sales materials current product knowledge
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
- Identify and resolve client concerns
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
- Meet monthly and quarterly sales goals
- Record and report activity and progress regular
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Individual must possess proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Excel and internet navigation. Photoshop skills a plus
· Must have interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated and goal oriented
· Must have strong written communication and multi-tasking skills
· Must be willing and able to travel and work a flexible schedule
· Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills are vital to the success of this position
· Cold calling prospecting is required
· Must be a highly motivated individual
· Bachelor’s degree in business marketing or communication preferred and at least 2 years sales experience with proven track record preferred
· Existing client base a plus
· Motorcycle industry knowledge and/or experience a plus
