ONLINE CATEGORY MERCHANDISER
The Online Merchandiser (OM) for Product Expansion strategically and tactically supports the Online Merchandising Manager, ensuring merchandising objectives are met SOS/Non-stocked product goals. The OM works closely with their Online Merchandising Manager and Core Merchandising partners to ensure seasonal alignment and execution of shared goals, deliverables and expectations. Responsibilities also include scanning and identifying environmental issues that impact online retail selling environments, keeping informed of industry trends and business issues and identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve profitability. The OM will take ownership and oversight over selected categories rolling up to the Online Merchandising Manager. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: ?Analytics: Monitor performance of assigned categories and identify opportunities for improvement. ?Create appropriate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, monitor and report findings. ?Identify and recommend new site content, both product and non-product, to address customers? needs and improve the overall online experience. ?Review and analyze online competitors? site merchandising, promotional execution and tactics, user experience, product representation and taxonomy. Report findings and provide appropriate counter-strategies when appropriate. ?Work with Core Merchants, Vendors, Research and Trend Design teams to better understand consumer needs and market and product trends. ?Product Data: Ensure the product launch schedule is properly communicated and accurate data is collected and the overall data integrity is upheld. Work to resolve any data issues with your Merchant partners and Data Specialists in a timely manner. ?Taxonomy: Partner with the Taxonomy team to execute seasonal, categorical and shopping mode level changes to on-site navigation and search. ?Product Content: Working with the Product Information and Lowes.com Content team to ensure all relevant product and non-product content is updated and accurate. ?Operations Support: Working with the Operations team to ensure all consumer-facing content is loaded, accurate and functioning properly. ?Reporting: Review, analyze and distribute daily, weekly and YTD reports as it pertains to all sales and traffic metrics for all assigned categories. ?Must take a proactive approach to maximizing website usability and engage in ongoing competitor analysis and patterning to ensure Lowes.com has the ?Best in Class? customer experience. ?Work with the Online Merchandising Specialist to manage pricing in conjunction with Store Merchants, including NLP, promotions, and the markdown process. ?Continue to research, evolve and drive online merchandising and selling best practices. ?Support the implementation of new Merchandising programs, including item set-up in PCM and communicate relevant information concerning the program through the appropriate channels to all members of the Merchandising team, Internet Fulfillment Team, and other applicable support groups. ?Perform required tasks for ensuring new product lines are loaded in the appropriate time frame. ?Communicate online category extensions to the correct channels, including Marketing, Store Operations and Planning. ?Attend weekly Product Expansion team meetings, complete team meeting notes template, and communicate vital program related information. Take appropriate action on information shared in the meeting. ?Attend vendor meetings as requested ?Handle vendor questions/issues/problems on an as needed basis. ?Manage multiple, highly detailed tasks accurately while reacting with urgency and reprioritizing as needed to ensure all objectives and project deadlines are met.
