· There are over 15,000 products in our online catalog. Part of your job will be to maintain and improve the accuracy of existing product information on our site, remove discontinued items and find new products for our customers. You will need to demonstrate that you have the organization, mental flexibility and ability to properly manage your time and finish projects.
· We believe in being true partners with the 50+ manufacturers, distributors and other service vendors our Merchandising department works with on a regular basis. You will be dealing with a wide array of companies, individual personalities and product categories. Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills are a must for this position.
· We are a technology company just as much as we are a retailer. We are always looking for ways to automate and streamline our business processes. We also love to dig into data for answers and insights. The job requires strong math skills and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, a good understanding of business computer systems and a genuinely inquisitive mind. “Good enough” should not ever be good enough for you.
· Attention to detail is critical. We want to get it right 100% of the time. You can help us get there by providing our customers, Sales and Customer Service staff with accurate and timely product information.
· Teamwork is essential. Many of your projects require that you work closely with members of other departments that do not directly report to you. Managing their time and expectations properly is essential to your success. You will also need to have the initiative and creativity to overcome the inevitable obstacles that will pop up and impede your progress.
