Online Business Analyst
Client is in need of a BA for online service projects. A BA with previous, demonstrated work on projects that have implemented/enhanced an online financial service application is highly desired. Online/internet experience is a must. The BA has to have experience driving the client to a solution quickly. The BA should be able to come into this environment and quickly get up to speed. Should be able to take business high level requests and turn them into detailed technical requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Plans, gathers and clearly documents the business needs (requirements) of clients and stakeholders using techniques use cases, JAD sessions, etc.
Organizes and validates the requirements and ensures that all are traceable and measurable.
Elicits, analyzes and validates business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
Serves as a liaison between the clients and developers to ensure that all technical requirements are identified.
Assists in the collection of data element requirements.
Facilitates joint application review/design sessions (JAR/JAD) with clients, technical, and vendor resources.
Identifies and documents issues and risks in a timely manner and presents to PM for mitigation planning
Works with team to identify root cause, resolution
Assists lead tester in creation of test plan and test cases, as well as support of test execution.
Assists the PM in capturing and reporting project measures to the appropriate stakeholders.
The BA is accountable to the PM to:
Create a trusting working relationship with the PM and engagement lead (vendor development manager)
Review requirement changes and inform PM of impacts and possible change control needs
Work with PM to develop project activities and work plans as it relates to BA/requirements activities
Assist in estimation of project activities
Technical Skills Needed:
Comfortable working with data modelers and architects
Data mapping (logical)
Querying would be helpful
Creating test cases and scripts
Writing system requirements
Desired: Experience with Online Banking or ecommerce applications; CBAP certified.
