The Finance Chief Operating Office (COO) function is the constituent that makes the rest of the Finance engine tick. The EMEA team has responsibility for Sourcing management, Control, Costs, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), People Agenda, EMEA overview and Onshore Financial Reporting.

The Onshore Financial Reporting team has responsibility for the complex production functions, the partnership with the Service Centre and is the interface into Strategic Reporting Information Delivery (StRIDe) and other functions, covering UK Financial and Regulatory Reporting. The UK is the largest region in the Deutsche Bank Group with over 200 legal entities and a Balance Sheet of approx €2trillion.

Overview:

You will take responsibility for Regulatory reporting as well as to get involved with Financial reporting processes as required. Production is largely completed in the offshore service centre with the OFR team responsible for the relationship with the offshore team including initial monitoring of outputs, dealing with issues and changes as well as completing any added value production tasks such as issue resolution or preparation of forecasts. Ultimate responsibility for the relationships with the regulators rests with the Finance Managers for Regulatory and the OFR team work with the Finance Managers to ensure that regulatory requirements are met. You will also be expected to support the OFR team with various ad hoc tasks

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring all regulatory returns are completed within agreed Service Level agreements (SLAs) and to an acceptable standard
Maintenance of schedule of returns to ensure offshore and onshore understand reporting requirements and timelines
Review of returns completed against variance analysis thresholds
Regular liaison with offshore team to ensure issues are dealt with or escalated, offshore staff understand requirements and Key performance indicators (KPIs) are monitored
Completion of production tasks as agreed including Internal capital adequacy assessment process (ICAAP) forecasts and Liquidity
Preparation of onshore KPIs and monitoring of offshore KPI
Regular liaison with Finance Managers
Processing of Change requests

You will have:

Understanding of regulatory, accounting and control framework.
Exposure to financial services environment is essential.
Understanding of Investment Banking products
Graduate Degree
Strong communication/interpersonal skills
Logical structured thought process
Strong attention to detail

You will be:

Qualified Accountant with post qualified experience - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent)
Well organised
Lateral thinking/problem solving
Pro-active/team-player/take ownership
Self-motivated
