OPEN HOUSE for QUALITY TECHNICIANS
In partnership with a major biotech company headquartered in Cambridge, MA, we are holding a BIOTECH Open House to help staff several entry level opportunities.
Date: Wednesday, November 16th from 10-4:00
Location: 1430 Mass Ave. in Cambridge, MA (Harvard Square) and 1 minute walk from the Harvard stop on the Red Line. The office is located in the College House building in between The Body Shop and CVS Pharmacy.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Performs operations necessary for quality testing and plays a role in implementing new technology within quality control.
- At more senior levels, provides an investigative or technological orientation in designing, executing, interpreting and validating quality procedures and test methods.
- Performs generally supervised, routine tasks, following SOPs, which may include: environmental monitoring testing, water testing, simple routine testing of in-process and final products in accordance with GMP.
- Able to operate assigned lab equipment.
- Contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks following standard operating procedures. personnel in the section or group.

--Receipt of manufacturing samples into the QC lab as well as sample retain disposal Perform Water, Steam and Critical Utility collection as well as associated testing Perform Environmental Monitoring Autoclave QC micro equipment Depyrogenate glassware Able to operate assigned lab equipment, such as balance, pH and conductivity meters Enter and review data in LIMS Perform safety and operational lab audit General maintenance of Lab equipment Maintain log books related to inventory and equipment Ensure labs are clean and safe (in compliance with cGMP) and properly stocked Reagent preparation pH meter standardization
--Cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment such as freezers, hoods, incubators and water baths.
--Appropriate disposal of chemicals.
--Maintain overall lab organization by supporting lab personnel with tasks that will facilitate the ability to complete daily workload such as sample log-in, photo copying, stamping data, database entry, and filing.
