Job description
The Technical Sales Specialists are responsible for designing differentiated custom solutions and presentations that will address the business needs customers have, while evoking confidence in the OpenPages platform and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. Successful Technical Sales Specialists have a strong understanding of how our technology can resolve business issues, possess a consultative sales approach and understand the importance of team work. They work closely with a Regional Sales Manager to engage and understand prospective client requirements and business issues and map them to an OpenPages solution.

This position is based out of the Washington, DC metro area. It requires travel.

Experience and Skills
(1) Proven track record developing and delivering targeted, custom solutions and presentations, to key decision makers to address business needs across the enterprise
(2) Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
(3) At least 3-5 years of experience demonstrating enterprise class application software
(4) Experience with the development and implementation of an enterprise risk management framework to address governance, risk and compliance requirements
(5) Demonstrable experience in Knowledge Process Management areas such as document management, workflow automation, change management or business processes re-engineering
(6) Working knowledge of leading reporting and business intelligence systems (Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects or others)
(7) Bachelors degree or equivalent

Desirable Skills and experience
(1) Demonstrated success in an early stage market
(2) Demonstrable understanding of the solution selling methodology
(3) Working knowledge of ERP financial application software (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Lawson or others)
(4) Experience developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures to identify, assess, mitigate, monitor and report operational risk, in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Basel II, Solvency II and other regulatory guidance or requirements
