Operation Officer H/F recruitment
GDF SUEZ LNG Supply SA is the Luxembourg based entity of the LNG Business Unit and supports the Group’s well established presence in LNG markets worldwide by:
• Seeking and acquiring long-term LNG supply and shipping capacity for the Group.
• Managing LNG supply, sales and shipping portfolio (6 vessels, turnover above 1.5 billion USD…).
• Developing business opportunities and executing short term trading activities throughout the world.
• Managing Group’s interests in LNG infrastructures all around the world.
Areas of responsibility
The operation officer will join the Process and Operations team to assist the Commercial Manager of GDF SUEZ LNG Supply SA who is in charge of the management of the portfolio and the back office activities. Optimization and day to day management of the assets are done in close cooperation with teams based in Paris (France), and governed by the “single voice on the market” principle and the compliance with the Group’s internal control policy.
Principal functions
• Development of trustworthy relations with all the stakeholders and counterparties.
• Active contribution to the commercial contracts preparation and documentation: cargoes sales and purchases, chartering, bunkering...
• Control and filling of commercial and contractual documentation, records of deals and business activities.
• Follow up (arranging, compliance, documentation, recording) of the LNG operations with the local lawyer and the operation teams in Paris (scheduling, commercial, contract management) according to the BU rules and policy (internal control, “single voice on the market” principle, confidentiality, quality…).
• Calculation of LNG prices vessel chartering, validation of quantity quality reports, complex contract implementation (margin sharing in case of diversions,…).
• Validation of purchase invoices (1000 USD to 30 MUSD), issuance of sales invoices (1 MUSD to 60 MUSD), cash flow hedge management...
• Elaboration and/or update of business processes and all the corresponding documentation to comply with the Group’s internal control policy.
• Business analysis, commercial reporting, ad-hoc analysis or data mining as well as active contribution to financial cycles (fast month end closing) as supplier of reliable accruals figures.

Profile
• Engineers and/or Business school or university master degree with high ability to adapt and work in team transversely in commercial, financial and legal fields
• Working knowledge of Visual Basic and XL strongly preferred
• Any professional experience in the energy sector is a plus
• Ability to deliver high quality work under time pressure
• Eye for detail with the ability to synthesize
• Professional attitude and close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in English. French is a plus
